Body-Wall Remnant | 2006
After de-installation of Body-Wall at PROGRAM three portions of the walls which contain the apertures where kept. These were recycled to create new pieces in the studio. The stripes come from a year-long fascination with early cinematic devices, like the zoetrope, used in earlier works (Brainwash, Camp O.J. installation). Along with historicizing hard edge abstraction of art or certain provocations of situationism, these lines create a destabilized sensibility based on illusionism.
